Oak & Oscar Partners with the U.S. Men's Curling Team for this Winter's Games in Milan!

We’re excited to once again partner with the U.S. Men’s National Curling Team as they compete at this year's winter games!

If you’ve followed along over the years, then you know that Oak & Oscar has a storied history with Team USA Curling. In 2018, we were tapped to make a special watch for team coach Phill Dorobnick after the squad won gold in PyeongChang.

When Team Shuster attempted to defend their title in 2022, they were wearing Humboldt 12-HR watches on their wrists. And when they returned to the states, they were presented with custom Humboldts that featured a genuine piece of curling stone in the casebacks.

Now, in just a couple short weeks, the squad will be sporting Humboldt GMTs featuring the Team Casper logo engraved on the casebacks. Each caseback was designed and engraved right in our Chicago HQ.

This is a big moment for both Oak & Oscar and the U.S. Men's National Team. We recently spoke with team member Aidan Oldenburg about what this means to the squad. “[This] means everything to us. Some of us moved halfway around the country to be able to be around each other and train as a team. To see it pay off so early in our curling careers is an incredible feeling and we’re so excited for the opportunity to compete at the Olympics.”

Curlers have to be acutely aware of time during competition. And having a mechanical watch makes their connection with the clock all the more visceral. “A mechanical watch creates a quieter, more intentional relationship with time. When everything moves so fast and is so digital, having a mechanical watch reminds us to stay in the present moment. Being able to see the craftsmanship and care that goes into the watch makes time feel more meaningful.”

We’re excited for the team, and we’ll be cheering them on from Chicago. It’s deeply rewarding to know that these incredible athletes will be wearing our watches in the games.
