IN THE NEWS: Hodinkee Covers the Humboldt ExP-02

Hodinkee’s Mark Kauzlarich recently showcased the in-house craftsmanship behind the second watch in our Experimental Series, the Humboldt ExP-02. As he points out, “The concept for the team was simple: push the boundaries of their personal techniques to create something they’ve never done before.” 

Making the Humboldt ExP-02 was tremendously fun, and we’re excited to continue exploring new horological techniques to produce more parts in-house. And this watch is a fitting first example of what we’re capable of doing. 

From the watch’s wispy matte grey finish to the “ghost script” on the dial to the smooth edges of the fixed steel bezel, this is a truly unique piece. “The ghost dial is a cool effect that focuses the watch on legibility. If you’re someone who likes the value-add of work done in the United States, this might scratch an itch as well.”
