Eagle Rare 10yr Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a bold, complex whiskey that builds over time on the palate, and finishes with a dry herbaceousness. The herbal qualities of this juice are perfect for cool months and warm cocktails.
2 oz Eagle Rare 10yr barrel select bourbon whiskey
1 teaspoon Chai spice black tea
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 ounces hot water
3 ounces milk
1 teaspoon honey
clove, nutmeg (optional)
Combine tea leaves and vanilla extract, and any additional spices with 6 ounces of hot water. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat and add milk and honey. Whisk together and bring to a simmer, remove from heat, and allow to steep 3-5 minutes. Strain, pressing down on solids to extract flavors.
Transfer the chai to a heat-proof mixing glass and stir in bourbon. Serve in Toddy Glass and garnish with grated clove and nutmeg.
