IN THE NEWS: Chase Participates in Panel Discussion Celebrating 10 Years of the Windup Watch Fair

We've had a blast this year celebrating ten years of Oak & Oscar. But ours isn't the only 10-year anniversary this year!

Our longtime partners at the Windup Watch Fair are celebrating a decade of the largest free watch fair in the world! During the NYC edition of the fair back in October, Worn & Wound co-founder, Blake Malin, hosted a panel discussion with founders of many of the brands that were there for the very first Windup back in 2015. And yours truly was there for it!

The watch industry looked a lot different then. And it's fascinating to hear what it was like to be at the first Windup and how so many brands have grown and evolved over the years.

Windup has been an integral part of the growth of the watch enthusiast community. And it's been incredibly important to Oak & Oscar's success. It's so rewarding to go to these shows and meet folks who enjoy what you do and connect on a personal level. Chase characterized his first experience at Windup this way: "Sitting across from someone at a table, showing them something you've poured your heart into, and hearing them say, 'I really like this' — that's special. That first weekend gave us the feeling that we had a chance. It was a great way to connect."

It's awesome to be part of such an incredible event that brings together such an amazing community. We're already to looking forward to the next one!
