AT THE HQ: The Second Annual Oak & Oscar Chili Cook-Off

We recently hosted the Second Annual Oak & Oscar Chili Cook-off at the HQ, and it was a blast!
Joe C., last year's reigning champ in the overall category, returned to see if he could hold onto his crown. But competition was fierce, with both returning entrants and new contenders alike vying for the top prize.
A good variety of chili, from spicy to sweet, meaty to vegetarian was on offer. All of us had a great time chatting about life and watches as we made our way to each crockpot and sampled the wares.
Folks were anxious as the votes were counted and we all waited to see who would emerge victorious. In the end, Joe retained his title. Newcomer, FJ, took home the prize for most creative name with his "Irish Willbilly Chili," a fun take on an inside joke among residents of Chicago's North Shore.
It was a fun day to spend with good company eating good food, and it was an ideal way to get through the last bit of winter weather here in Chicago.
We’re always doing something fun at the HQ, so keep an eyes on your inbox for announcements about future events we have planned!
