$2,500.00

Like a distillery that has had time to craft an exceptional aged bourbon, we’re releasing the Humboldt Seven Year to highlight what we’re capable of making. The Humboldt Seven Year celebrates our seventh year in business and showcases what we can do and why we're one of the best small independent brands out there.

With a hand-cut brass bezel, hand-finished dial and a sandblasted rotor we are confident that the Humboldt Seven Year combines true craftsmanship with our iconic design.

These were available only at the 2022 Chicago Windup!

EXPLORE THE HUMBOLDT SEVEN YEAR ⟶

To build the Seven Year, Nathan Bobinchak, our Director of Watchmaking, is individually hand-machining bezels out of a special brass alloy for a watch that looks like nothing else we’ve ever made.

It’s out first two-tone watch, but it’s brass, not bling. Brass is typically called a “base” metal, but it forms the base of almost everything in the watch, from the dials and hands, to the geartrain, to the movement plates and bridges. It’s the building block of horology, and we’re not afraid to show it off.

The bezels are precisely hand-cut to fit the case, with tolerances that are barely a fraction of a human hair. Each piece is individually made on a vintage Derbyshire Elect lathe that used to maintain timepieces at the U.S. Naval Observatory.

We’re stripping away the decoration to show the raw materials that make our watches special. Each dial on the Seven Year is painstakingly turned to reveal the metal beneath, and the rotors are sandblasted to highlight their multi-part construction.

The bezel is made from 693 Eco Brass, a special lead-free alloy with exceptional corrosion resistance and strength. That means it’s safe to wear, and hard enough to withstand your adventures.

Each watch will patina uniquely to you. The brass is completely untreated, which means it will start changing the moment you put it on. Each bezel will have your unique “fingerprint” of patina!

Another Oak & Oscar Slam Dunk!

With the Humboldt Seven Year we see Oak & Oscar's return to the early days of the brand, producing a brilliantly conceived and exceptionally crafted small batch release that's true to the ethos of the brand while also adding some exciting and innovative twists. The fixed bezel is really the genius move on the part of the O&O team. The brass concept is somehow both striking and rustic at the same time. Not only does it add to the visual appeal, it increases the wearability of the watch. Of course, the best part of getting this watch was the chance to finally meat the Oak & Oscar team in person at Windup Chicago 2022. If I could, I would give this watch 4 (of 4) stars, for the number of stars on the rotor and the edition # I have.

Exceptional and Versatile!

Love this watch. You can wear it with anything. Asked Nathan to fit with the new O&O steel bracelet and it’s perfect! The contrast of the brass and blue on the dial keeps me gazing time and again, day after day. The team at Oak & Oscar keeps raising the bar. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
