This is my third Oak & Oscar timepiece and I can say with all honesty, these watches impress. I’ve purchased the inaugural Burnham, the 12 Hr Humboldt and now the Humboldt GMT and They have all worn and performed with top quality. Oak & Oscar does not rest on their laurels, they enhance and modify every iteration of their collection. You never feel like you have the same watch. As for customer service, you cannot do better. Any question, any concern is met with a quick response and a solution. There is a reason the crew at O&O refer to their clients as owners and not customers, they care.
I am very happy with this purchase. I love the white dial and clean design. Also, the lume is very cool, (wish it was longer lasting, but that’s a minor issue for me). I had a few questions during the purchase process and after receiving the watch, and all answers were provided promptly by the company owner! Can’t wait to see what new designs they come up with in the future.
The Matte Black face with orange accents looks so good that I find myself just staring at my wrist sometimes. I really appreciate that the numbers on the bezel are engraved instead of painted on. The micro adjustment bracelet is a game changer! Making minor adjustments to the way your watch fits throughout the day has never been easier or more appreciated.
Without having the benefit of getting to see this watch "in the metal," as they say. I wasn't nervous but curious if it would live up to the hype and the pictures I saw. Upon receiving it, I was super pleased with it!
For my smallish 6 3/4", this watch feels just right and too large on it as I wondered if it would be and feels super comfortable. All dimensions are smaller than I imagined, and that's a good thing.
Having a small wrist, I often have to do a lot of tweaking to get bracelets to fit well; the quick adjustment on this one is a game-changer for me. While the clasp mechanism was initially a bit difficult to open, it got easier over time. I can see myself wearing it on the bracelet most of the time.
The GMT movement has an excellent reputation, and I have all the confidence in its reliability. I have yet to test on a timegrapher, but I trust that O&O's watchmaker Nathan did a great job setting it up before shipping. The movement is a what you call an "Office" or "Caller" GMT which fits my use case of tracking the time of day for my West Coast co-workers from my home in Dallas, TX is perfect.
I have admired O&O's watches from afar for a while. I've loved design elements like the sandwich dials, unique hands, the typeface of the numerals, and the orange 18 on the date wheel. They all feel consistent watch to watch and, in my opinion, have just been refined and improved with each new release. The Humboldt GMT, to me, is the best…
