This limited edition timepiece is a collaboration between Oak & Oscar and the brave men and women of the St. Louis County Rescue Squad. The Rescue Squad patrols northern Minnesota’s majestic Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) and the entire St. Louis County region.

With a lightweight, titanium case, 20 ATM (200m) water resistance, anti-mag and anti-shock technology, and a ceramic compass bezel insert, the Humboldt GMT SAR Edition is built to withstand the tough conditions encountered by the Rescue Squad.

The St. Louis County Rescue Squad is a group of highly trained volunteers that patrol the vast and beautiful BWCA that consists of over 1,000,000 acres of forests, glacial lakes, and streams. The Rescue Squad responds to calls involving wilderness search and rescue, boat and water safety, first aid, and public safety.

The Rescue Squad needs robust equipment to perform their vital role and utilizes everything from tactical vehicles to watercraft and ropes for swiftwater rescues. Of course, in a rescue mission, time is of the essence, so a precise, capable watch on the wrist is a must. You never know when you’re going to have to check a pulse or use your watch as a compass to find your way home. In fact, learning to use these functions of a watch is an integral part of the Squad’s training.
