Raffle Ticket - Olmsted 200 NAOP

$50.00

We love Frederick Law Olmsted around here at the Oak & Oscar HQ. So much so that we named a watch after him.

And would you believe it? There's an entire organization dedicated to Olmsted. Yup, the National Association for Olmsted Parks (NAOP) helps to preserve the legacy of the Olmsted family for future generations.

Want to know something even cooler? They love our Olmsted watch and asked us to help them celebrate Olmsted's 200th birthday. What. An. Honor.

This year, in what would have been his 200th year, the NAOP is celebrating the legacy of Frederick Law Olmsted through a series of events and fundraising for the Olmsted parks around the country.

We're absolutely honored and thrilled to have created three unique, double-signed dials with a custom engraved caseback. Two of these are awarded to recognize exemplary leadership in championing Olmsted's work and principles.

The third watch is being raffled off by us for $50 a ticket, with all the proceeds going directly to NAOP. So yeah, you can purchase a $50 ticket (heck...grab ten of them!) and have a shot at winning an extremely unique and cool timepiece. Winner will be notified via email by the end of November!

Please note that this raffle is for US residents only. Value of the watch is estimated at $1,950. Other rules and regulations apply, please email for more information.

The Olmsted 38 is a classic, automatic winding, 38mm field watch with a two-layer sandwich dial, 10 ATM (100m / 330ft), screw-down crown, and inner minute track with orange cardinal numeral accents.

The Olmsted 38 takes its namesake from conservationist and founder of landscape architecture, Frederick Law Olmsted – an avid believer in the need of natural public space in society. Olmsted is responsible for designing many of the public parks in the United States; notably, Central Park in New York City, and Jackson Park in Chicago. Throughout a fascinating life, Olmsted pushed for the protection of Yosemite Valley, created the parkway, the integrated park system, and founded the precursor to the Red Cross.

The engine powering The Olmsted 38 is the Selitta SW300, a legendary, Swiss-made, solid workhorse movements customized with our iconic 4-star rotor design – a subtle nod to our hometown of Chicago.

We’re proud of our Horween leather straps and the craftsmanship that goes into them. From the hand-beveled edges with applied water-based dye to the hidden orange stitching on the floating keeper, our leather strap tapers from 20mm to 18mm at the buckle for a comfortable fit.
