IN THE NEWS: Midcurrent Features Our Hand-Painted Dials!

Midcurrent, one of the largest online fly fishing magazines in the world, recently featured a very special set of Oak & Oscar watches.

Unless you've been to a recent Windup event or you happen to be one of the select few who own one of these supercool watches, you may not know that we've recently begun producing unique, hand-painted dials.

We teamed up with renowned artist, Tim Johnson, who paints these beautiful images. Author, Phil Monahan, points out that each dial is "painstakingly created. It takes Tim eight hours of painting using a microscope and a tiny, single-bristle paintbrush to create a beautiful painting that makes each timepiece unique."

These dials are custom made and done by commission only. Folks have approached us about making dials commemorating their first fish, their biggest fish, or their best fishing-related memory. And each watch tells a story unique to its owner.

What's more, you can rest assured that your watch, as good looking as it is, is nevertheless ready to accompany you to any hard-to-find stream on the planet. "The watches themselves are built to last, crafted with precision and quality parts...they are built to be handed down to future generations of anglers."

We're excited to continue working with Tim to produce these amazing timepieces for our Owners. You can read the full story on Midcurrent here
