IN THE NEWS: Worn & Wound and Fratello Cover the Atwood Wind Vintage Edition

The Atwood Wind Vintage Edition is one of our favorite collaboration pieces to date. Using our newest Signature Collection model, the Atwood, as a canvas, we worked with renowned watch dealer and vintage reference encyclopedia, Eric Wind, to design a limited edition that showcases a respect for vintage design cues while nevertheless maintaining Oak & Oscar’s unique aesthetic and modern capability. The result was phenomenal, with the watch selling out within just two minutes of launching!

We’re humbled by the response from Owners both old and new. And the media took notice, too!

Zach Kazan, managing editor at Worn & Wound, writes that “brands who are authentically themselves, and a reflection of the point of view of those in charge, and their clients, are almost always going to be the most interesting. Oak & Oscar, I think, neatly falls into that category.” Regarding the watch itself, Zach notes that “the design of this limited edition Atwood is influenced by hallmarks of vintage watches” with the Atwood being “well suited to this…”

Maintaining a distinctive identity, in terms of both design and quality, is one of the most important things to us. Michael Stockton of Fratello similarly notes that “When you see an Oak & Oscar, you know it’s an Oak & Oscar.” Remarking upon the unique features of the watch, Michael writes that “with Eric’s involvement, the Atwood Wind Vintage Edition fuses personal and old-school details.” The warm-toned colors, with stone grey and vibrant blue along with pops of orange, and unique pulsation scale along the rehaut make this stand out.

Michael quips that “When two of the most likable people in the watch industry collaborate on a watch, only good things can happen, right?” We know the question is rhetorical, but we’d have to say yes! And the results speak for themselves!

Though the watch may be sold out, you can read full coverage of the release from Worn & Wound and Fratello. And if you’re in the market for a cool flyback chronograph at an amazing pricepoint, you can pick up an Atwood here!
