I recently purchased a Humboldt at the Dallas Watch Windup show. At the event, I got to meet Chase and Greg who are artists when it comes to crafting beautiful watches. This purchase has seen a lot of wrist time!

Beautiful watch. I've been thinking getting one for a while, finally I went and order the Humboldt, wasn't easy to choose between the blue and the white. Watch arrived and I've been fascinated by all the little details here and there. The long slender seconds and GMT hands give it a nice elegant touch and when they align the barrel on the seconds hands just get complete. Check it out. The bezel has a nice click when rotated. The date window is below where lives without interrupting the symmetry of the dial. It would be nice to have a model without the date but it's OK. Do I miss more lume on the dial? yes, Does it matter? no. The bracelet is nice, very malleable, the extension mechanism is great and useful. The only part I don't like is the little lock on the clasp, the pin holding it extends beyond the bracelet this is the only design flaw I've seen. Already start pairing it with straps and there is no one it doesn't like.
If you're thinking to get one just go ahead, get one, it won't disappoint you. The price is correct if not below of the real value you get. Thanks Oak&Oscar team for making an extraordinary product.
I bought this watch as I wanted to have a GMT for some upcoming travels. I bought it on the leather strap as I knew it would live on NATOs the majority of the time. It is a strap monster for sure.
In the time I have owned it I have found that it keeps very good time. The rotor is a bit louder than some of my high end automatic watches, but for a microbrand it is better than most out there.
Build quality is fantastic. The bezel action is great and the dial is legible and the white really pops. My only quibble is that I wish the numerals and the center ring were both lumed. The lug to lug measurement is great and leads to a very wearable watch. The watch is on the thicker side, but when you consider the 200m of water resistance and the complication the thickness is reasonable when stacked up against the competition. I also appreciate the length and size of the GMT hand which makes reading the second time zone very easy.
The packaging of the watch and what comes with it is where the watch stands out. The watch pouch, extra strap and tool were welcomed additions.
I had settled on making the Humbolt GMT blue face on bracelet my retirement present to myself. After meeting Chase and Greg at Windup in Chicago and finally seeing the watch in person I was completely sold. It took me a few more months of holding out before purchasing in early November. I wanted to take in the whole experience of going to the office to make the experience complete. I took my daughter along with me since she was with me at Windup and understood how much this purchase was going to mean to me. Meeting Nathan and getting personally fitted was extra special as well. Needless to say seeing the guys again, chatting away, having a celebratory toast and wrist shot was just fantastic. Oh by the way, the watch could not be more perfect!!! The quality, size, finish, dial, and packaging are just incredible. Only regrets are we missed seeing Oscar (we are big dog lovers) and I still have not retired!!!! Keep up the great work guys and I hope we get together again. I'm feeling there hopefully may be an Atwood in my collection in the future!
This watch is so solid. Very purposefully built. Love the bracelet and love the adjustable clasp. Great for Texas summers. This dude is a tank that has quickly become my daily driver. Thanks again to Chase and the team for the personal touch when I was going through the inevitable back and forth decision making process…you all know what I mean. Great watch!
