The Jackson Big Eye

This is a great chronograph witha wantastic unique look. The big eye, panda dial is easy to read, and the stacked accumulators make it as useful as a three sundial chrono without the busier dial. And it’s a fly back movement! What’s more to love? Oh right, looking at the movement which is one of the cooler looking ,ovememts in my collection. So luck to have gotten one of the last ones when this came out.

There are subtle details missing in the photographs. The dial is a bit more subtle in person, and markers for the time pop very smartly.

Very impressive in person and a home run on aesthetics, from the leather band, leather case and exposed glass back movement.

I have shown this watch to a few watch high end watch collector friends, Lange, Patek, Rolex and they have all expressed an interest in following oak & oscar. Esp. Limited editions.

So many chronographs are cool to look at, but impossible to read. The Big Eye is a gem. Fabulous design, quirky enough to be cool, but entirely legible and easy to use. I'm a huge Humboldt fan, but my Big Eye has been on my wrist from the moment I took it out of the watch wallet. It's a winner!

The design of the Big Eye - from the dial layout and color scheme to the case - is really perfect. I thought that it might be too large for my 6.5” wrist but it wears so comfortably. It has the presence you want without the bulkiness you don’t want. So glad that I made the snap decision to go for it.

The Big Eye Jackson exceeded my expectations in every way. I will make comparisons to my regular Jackson (PVD finish) which I also purchased prior to the release date.

Size of the Big Eye, especially diameter and height, are aesthetically and practically perfect. The larger size is much more legible.

Both straps and buckle hardware exude quality and uniqueness.

So far, the accuracy of the movement has been outstanding.

I do not miss the date window, in the least.

The only thing I would alter is better lume visibility, but that is a minor issue.

My preference is to support small makers like Oak & Oscar, but the product must still provide value. I am confident that the Big Eye provides a unique combination of uniqueness and quality.
