A little like winning the lottery
Kept waiting and waiting for no good reason to pick my first Oak&Oscar watch. When this limited edition for Windup Watch Fair came up, I went into the pursuit figuring I'd let the fates decide this one. I made it into the city. I made it into the show with a line around the block. I made it to the booth to finally let Chase know it was time if they still had 'mine' available. He did, so I did and i'll hold onto that memory (plus more).
It's a perfect twist on the known and loved Humboldt. Enough to stand on its own, with extras like the bezel and case back to cement it's uniqueness (1 of 5).
Thank you Chase, for always being up for a chat about your work and Land Rovers. Thank you Nathan, for deep dives into watchmaking technical details and sharing so many insights along the way.
It was meant to be.
