This is my second Oak & Oscar piece. I was introduced to the brand during their first release, and it took me some time to find a reason to treat myself to one. The Atwood is a gem. Its size and layout are pleasant throwbacks to a more vintage-y feel of watches, but everything is confidently modern. The dial has obvious recalls to famous chronographs, but the small touch of color keeps it from feeling stuffy. When I first saw it, I thought the "12" might be perfect if it were just a touch smaller, but that thought disappeared when I saw it in the metal. It is playful without being informal, smart without being stuffy, and cool enough not to have to tell you that it is.
O&O really outdid themselves with the Atwood. If you are looking for a mechanical chronograph that you can wear during both the week and the weekend, you will not be disappointed.
