The Jackson: An Oak & Oscar Classic

Every good collection should have a chronograph in it. That’s why, in 2017, we introduced the Jackson.
Our first chronograph was offered in three variants. Two stainless steel models were released, one with a matte grey dial and the other with a navy blue dial. A third PVD-coated option was also released, giving folks an amazing variety of options.
Our design-focused approach was front and center with the Jackson. Legibility is a particular challenge with chronographs which have notoriously busy dials. In designing the Jackson, we sought to make a legible chronograph with bonafide horological credentials.
We kept the dial nice and clean with a two-register layout. To overcome the obstacle of displaying elapsed minutes and hours along with running seconds, we put a stacked register at three o’clock with a grey hand counting the minutes and a smaller white hand tracking the hours. The subdial at nine tracks running seconds. It sounds crazy, but it works!
As Stephen Pulvirent put in his hands-on review all the way back in 2017, “If you told me that there was a chronograph that used three different colored hands to show the elapsed time, I would be pretty skeptical, but I think it works here because the colors echo other design features across the watch. It ends up feeling cohesive, despite my expectations.” Add in the modular, manually-wound flyback movement with a column wheel, and what you have is a classically inspired chronograph that’s distinctly Oak & Oscar.
This is perhaps the watch we get asked about most often. When people come by the HQ, they can’t help but notice this handsome watch in the display case. That’s why we’re thrilled to offer a highly limited run of each Jackson variant to celebrate our ten year anniversary!
Several pieces of each variant will be available for purchase to the lucky winners of this month’s lottery.
To be eligible to purchase one of these rare pieces, you’ll have one week to enter the lottery. Sign-up ends on August 25th, after which we’ll hold a random drawing and notify the lucky winners via email.
